Charitable Bingo (the way in which our clinic gets funded) requires 7-8 volunteers once a week.
Trustworthy people are needed to sell bingo packs and pull tabs.
Volunteers receive up to $10 per session for a meal.
Training and oversight is provided to volunteers from an employee of the clinic.
Who makes good volunteers? Retirees, displaced workers, stay at home moms, and students.
Many health career students come to Blount Rural Health Center to complete Externships or to obtain a Clinical Rotation.
We also utilize Community Based Service Workers who are required to volunteer while receiving assistance.
We do accept volunteers through the Court Systemís Community Service Program, depending on the reason you are being required to perform community service.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please contact the clinic director, Anita Jo Powell at 270-265-5600 or email your questions further information.
All volunteers are required to participate in a short volunteer training pertaining to confidentiality and sign a Confidentiality Statement.
